dr. REBEKAH HARTFIELD

FOUNDER/VETERINARIAN

Dr. Hartfield holds two associate degrees, a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Following graduation, she began her career in mixed animal practice in Cushing, Oklahoma, where she discovered her passion for mentoring future veterinarians.

That passion inspired the creation of the Dr. Hartfield Book Series—a five-book collection designed to help children learn about responsible pet care while inspiring curiosity about veterinary medicine and animal health.

In 2019, Dr. Hartfield became the proud owner of Holdenville Veterinary Clinic, where she continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care for both large and small animals. In 2024, she expanded her mission of service and education by opening Hartfield Veterinary Clinic Urgent Care in Mannford, Oklahoma.

When she’s not in the clinic or writing her next book, Dr. Hartfield enjoys spending time at the lake, skiing, and riding horses with her husband, Preston, and their son, Paden.

Dr. Adison Hood

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Hood grew up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where her passion for animals began through years of involvement in 4-H and FFA. She raised and showed pigs, managed cattle, and developed a lifelong love for animal care and production.

She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with honors from Oklahoma State University before continuing at OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2024.

Dr. Hood especially enjoys working with pigs, and her professional interests include reproduction and herd health. (She loves all animals—though she’ll admit the feathered and scaly ones might not be her favorites!)

We’re proud to have Dr. Hood as part of our veterinary team and know you’ll enjoy getting to know her and the compassionate care she provides to her patients.

Dr. Hood is dedicated to serving both the pets and livestock of Holdenville and Mannford areas. As part of our ongoing commitment to accessible care, she plays a key role in expanding our services—including low-cost spay/neuter events and monthly coverage at our Urgent Care Clinic.

We’re proud to have Dr. Hood as part of the Hartfield team and excited for the expertise and energy she brings to our practice.

Rachel Francies

Office Manager

As the backbone of Hartfield Veterinary Clinic's daily operations, Rachel brings nearly a decade of hands-on experience and dedication to the world of veterinary medicine. Her journey began in college as a kennel assistant, and through hard work and a passion for animal care, she’s grown into a vital leadership role, ensuring our clinic runs efficiently while supporting both our team and our patients.

Rachel thrives in the fast-paced environment of our urgent care clinic and enjoys the variety of animals and cases we see each day. She’s especially proud to work alongside Dr. Hartfield and be part of a team that shares her commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.

Outside the clinic, Rachel is just as devoted to animals. She and her high school sweetheart, Tony, have fostered over 50 dogs over the years, demonstrating their deep love for rescue work. They live on a small hobby farm with their two children, a lively mix of rescue dogs and cats, chickens, and three horses.

Emily Sells

Veterinary Assistant

Emily has been a valued member of the Hartfield Veterinary Clinic team for over five years, beginning her journey alongside Dr. Hartfield at the Holdenville location. Her dedication, work ethic, and deep compassion for animals make her an essential part of our clinical team.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in May 2025 and is currently pursuing her goal of being accepted into veterinary school next fall. Emily has a strong passion for large animal medicine and brings both knowledge and hands-on experience to her role.

Outside of the clinic, Emily enjoys life on the farm with her dog, four horses, and a small herd of cattle. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is assisting in the healing process—helping animals recover and return to their happy, healthy lives is what she finds most rewarding.

Kyriana Beard

Veterinary Assistant

Kyriana is one of our newest Veterinary Assistants, who will begin her undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University in the fall, majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary emphasis. She plans to attend veterinary school following her undergraduate degree, with a career goal of practicing mixed animal medicine in rural communities.

Kyriana brings a diverse background in animal care, with extensive experience showing horses in both Dressage and Western Dressage, as well as exhibiting livestock during high school. She has always had a strong connection with animals—especially dogs, which have been a constant part of her life.

Christian Caputo

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Christian is a first-year veterinary student at Oklahoma State University (OSU) and a valued member of our veterinary team. He brings a strong passion for animal health and welfare, with experience and interest in working with both large and small animals.

Christian has been married for three years and enjoys life at home with his two cats, a dog, and several fish. Outside of his academic and clinical responsibilities, he dedicates time to powerlifting and cherishes quality time with his family.

His dedication, enthusiasm, and well-rounded background make him a wonderful addition to our team and a compassionate presence in our care environment.

Avery Dawes

Kennel ASSISTANT

Avery is entering her junior year of high school and has already become a valued member of the Hartfield Veterinary Clinic team. Her enthusiasm for animal care and willingness to learn have made her a strong asset to our staff.

One of Avery’s favorite aspects of working at the clinic is the opportunity to meet a wide variety of animals and breeds, each with their own unique personalities and needs. Her passion for animals extends beyond the clinic—at home, she cares for her service dog named Sadie, a cat, a rabbit, and a flock of chickens.

In addition to her work in veterinary care, Avery is also an accomplished vocalist. She and her ensemble partner earned a superior rating at the state choir contest last year, showcasing her dedication and talent both inside and outside of the clinic.

Jameson Brison

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Jameson is a Veterinary Assistant and a freshman at Northern Oklahoma College in Stillwater, where he is pursuing a degree in Animal Science through the Oklahoma State University pathway. His passion for animals and dedication to their care have been evident from a young age, and he brings that same commitment to his work at Hartfield Veterinary Clinic.

Since joining our urgent care team in February 2025, Jameson has become a valued part of our staff. He enjoys the hands-on experience of working with a wide variety of animals and takes pride in helping them recover and return to good health.

At home, Jameson cares for a cat and two dogs. His long-term goal is to continue developing his skills in animal care and contribute meaningfully to the veterinary field.

Bailee Black

Veterinary Assistant

Bailee joined the Hartfield Veterinary Urgent Care team in April 2024, bringing with her a strong work ethic, a lifelong love for animals, and a background rooted in ranch life. Her journey with Dr. Hartfield began in December 2023 as a volunteer at the Holdenville clinic, where her passion for veterinary care quickly became evident.

Raised on a cattle ranch, Bailee developed a deep appreciation for animals at an early age. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in May 2025 and will soon begin her teaching career at Holdenville Public Schools this fall. Despite her new role in education, Bailee remains a dedicated member of our clinic team throughout the school year on an as needed basis.

Her favorite part of working at Hartfield Veterinary Clinic is the hands-on experience and the chance to learn something new every day. Her background in ranching, combined with her enthusiasm for veterinary medicine, makes her a valuable asset to our team.

Amy Clowers

Receptionist

Amy joins Hartfield Veterinary Clinic as a part-time receptionist, bringing with her a lifelong passion for animals and a strong background in both education and equine experience. She recently retired after 33 years with Mannford Public Schools, where she was known for her dedication and community spirit.

Amy has been involved with animals since childhood, growing up barrel racing and later showing Paint Horses as an adult. She and her husband of 40 years, Millard, live on a 90-acre farm where they care for a small herd of horses, several bird dogs, and a number of beloved rescue dogs.

Family is at the heart of Amy’s life. She and Millard have one son and are proud grandparents to three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, laughing with her grandkids, and caring for her animals.
